LMRC fast tracks mega metro project

In order to commission the mega metro project in the best possible time, the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has recently started the work of casting of D Wall (Diaphragm Wall) panel at Hazratganj Underground Station. The Diaphragm Wall is being constructed in panels to a depth of about 22 meter using construction machinery like Hydraulic rig with inbuilt control mechanism and cranes. LMRC officials said that the new technology will help in safe and speedy construction of Hazratganj Underground Metro Station. The project contractor GULERMAK and Tata Project Limited (TPL) has been directed to finish the ongoing construction works of all the three stations, namely Hazratganj, Sachivalaya, and Hussainganj within stipulated time, MD, Kumar Keshav said, adding that after his inspection of the site, he instructed his engineers to take all required safety measures during the underground work of stations. He asked the contractor, Sam India Built Well Private Ltd., who is executing the work of depot to finish all their work before the deadline so that the depot is ready for the arrival of first Metro train.
