GDA unveils new metro link to NOIDA

GDA Noida Metro Link
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) in a recent move has decided to provide metro connectivity to Noida by building a direct Metro line with Mohan Nagar as the terminal point. The board of GDA recently approved the proposal to extend the Delhi Metro blue line upto Mohan Nagar, which at present terminates at Vaishali. The board also approved the extension of the Noida City Centre-Sector 62 Metro corridor, which is under construction, to the proposed Vaishali-Mohan Nagar line via Indirapuram. In this connection, the nodal agency agreed to provide Rs. 1.09-cr to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of the two proposed corridors. Following completion of the project, the station at Mohan Nagar, which falls on the Dilshad Garden-New Bus Stand Metro corridor, currently under construction, will be the major junction of the Metro rail network in Ghaziabad.
