L&T wins 90 units mining equipment orders from coal, cement sectors
Larsen and Toubro has secured multiple orders to supply 90 units of Komatsu Mining Equipment to Coal India's subsidiaries, leading Infra companies engaged with the Coal sector and customers from the Cement and Iron Ore sectors. These orders are for the supply of 66 units of Komatsu 100 Ton and 60 Ton Dump Trucks, 15 units of Komatsu Wheel Loaders, 7 units of Komatsu Hydraulic Excavators and allied equipment. The scope includes the supply of equipment and maintenance contracts for supporting operations over three to four years. S.N. Subrahmanyan, MD & CEO of L&T, informed that the company is delighted to receive these orders from the valuable customers, across various sectors, which is a strong indication of the revival taking place in the mining industry. While Arvind K Garg, Executive Vice President & Head - Construction & Mining Machinery Business, L&T, said that these orders reaffirm the confidence of the customers in Komatsu's superior technology, emphasis on safety and L&T's long-term commitment in after-sales service for the mining industry. The business has also won a prestigious order to supply 46 units of Komatsu Mining Equipment from Tata Steel, comprising 41 units of Komatsu HD785-7 (100 Ton Dump Truck), three units of Komatsu WA900-3E0 (9 Cum Wheel Loader) and two units of Komatsu D275A-5R (410HP Crawler Dozer). Its comprehensive range of world-class equipment matches global performance standards. The business is engaged in the distribution and support of equipment such as Hydraulic Excavators, Rear Dump Trucks, Crawler Dozers, Wheel Loaders, Wheel Dozers, Motor Graders, Heavy Tippers, Surface Miners and Skid Steer Loaders.
