L&T takes up Rs.1,266 cr worth construction contracts

The engineering and construction giant, Larsen & Toubro, has in the first case, secured Rs.928 cr contract from a government agency to construct 13,314 flats under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana Scheme. In addition to this, the company also received a Rs.338 crore contract from MMRC, which involves the design and construction of the traction & power supply works for Mumbai Metro Line 3 that goes from Colaba to SEEPZ via Bandra. In the realty contract, the flats will take the shape of 284 towers with four floors each and will be constructed at various locations in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, the company said in an official statement that in the metro contract the scope of works include design & construction of civil structure, architecture and MEP works. Line 3 metro line will be built completely underground under the direct supervision of Mumbai Metro Railway Corporation Limited (MMRCL), it added.
