L&T Secures Rs 1,000–2,500 Cr Water Supply Project in Guwahati

Larsen & Toubro Limited has secured a significant order for its water and effluent treatment (WET) business from the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board for a water management project in Assam.

The project falls in the Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore range and aims to provide safe and continuous 24x7 water supply to households in South-East Guwahati, strengthening the city’s urban water infrastructure.

The scope of the project includes the design, supply, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of key infrastructure such as a barge-mounted intake system, raw water rising mains, a water treatment plant, reservoirs, booster pumping stations, and a distribution network with household connections.

The project also includes the deployment of an integrated SCADA system for real-time monitoring and performance management, along with operation and maintenance of the water supply system for five years, ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery.
