Kone Elevator India commissions warehouse at Andheri Marol Road, Mumbai
In line with its strategy to enhance customer experience with minimized downtime of elevators & escalators with swift deliveries of spares, Kone Elevator India has opened a warehouse at Andheri in Mumbai housing more than 2,000 different parts. As a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, Kone provides elevators, escalators and travelators, as well as solutions for maintenance and modernization to add value to buildings through their life cycle. The warehouse will support its elevators, escalators, travellators and Inno Track for speedy service to customers. "Efficient supply of spare parts across existing service network is imperative for increasing sales touch points. India is urbanizing at rates never seen before and as the need for housing grows, the need for vertical transportation and equipment will also continue to grow rapidly," stated Managing Director, Kone Elevator India, Amit Gossain . With the Indian government's thrust on development of smart cities and residential complexes, the elevator and escalator market is set to grow significantly. In addition, the consistent growth of India's realty sector has been gaining attention worldwide. The new warehouse and the investments made in the past couple of years are in sync with the company's commitment to deliver innovative and comprehensive solutions to its customers. More parts distribution centres will come up at other locations in the coming months.
