The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has launched the ground work for construction of a greenfield airport at Hollongi area of Arunachal Pradesh. The mega aviation project has been awarded to Gujarat-based Dinesh Chandra R Agrawal Infracon and work will be completed within 30 months. After completion, the firm will enter supplementary agreements with AAI for operation and maintenance for a period of seven years. The tender for constructing the airport's terminal building will also be floated shortly. The foundation stone for the project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 9 last year, said an official spokesperson.
