Kochi Metro to Commence Road Development Works in Kakkanad
Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) is set to initiate road development works from Kunnumpuram to NGO Quarters Junction in Kakkanad. The project aims to widen the stretch to accommodate non-motorized transport (NMT) and enhance traffic flow. Tenders have been issued for the widening works as part of the preparatory activities for Metro’s Phase-II line from JLN Stadium to Infopark. The project includes construction of new walkways, renovation of existing ones, and improvements to drainage infrastructure.
