Kerala clears 24 infra projects worth ₹1,003 cr

Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) has approved 24 new infrastructure projects involving an investment of ₹1,003.72 crore. The projects include road infrastructure, development of 5 ITIs, modernization of medical colleges, and shore protection works in Kollam district, all of which will be executed on a fast-track basis. Under the Chathannoor drinking water project, the distribution system from JICA scheme will be extended to various villages in Chathanoor, and the construction of Vadakara and Sree Narayana Nagaram indoor stadiums will be taken up on priority. Construction of district court complex at Thalassery and upgrading of 5 ITIs in the state are among the important projects being taken up. Among others, ₹86.74 crore has been set aside for improvement of Adoor-Thumpamon-Kozhencherry Road; and ₹14.44 crore has been earmarked for development of Alapp-uzha mobility hub Phase 1- KSRTC bus terminal complex (MEP works).
