KEC International wins ₹1,245-cr new contracts

KEC International has secured new orders worth ₹1,245 crore across the globe. The company has secured orders of ₹107 crore for carrying out infrastructure works in the defence and industrial segments in India. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International, informed that the business has secured ₹629 crore contract for T&D projects in India, SAARC, Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. In the rail sector, the company has secured orders of ₹446 crore in technologically enabled/ conventional segments in India. In the metro rail segment, it secured orders for third rail and associated works - Overhead Electrification (OHE) – orders for Overhead Electrification (OHE) and associated civil works. With these orders, its total order inflow for FY21 stands at ₹11,876 crore with YOY growth of 5% despite the challenging environment. In fact, the railway order book continues to grow with orders in both conventional and new areas. The EPC order in America has been secured by its subsidiary SAE Towers, which further strengthened its order book in that region. In Italy, it also secured contracts from the Estonian University of Life Sciences and Martin Luther University Germany besides some of the leading universities and institutes in Mongolia and India. The project aims to promote green & blue infrastructure and nature-based solutions (GBI&NBS) for resilient, climate-friendly and worth living cities through ICT-enhanced tertiary education linked to labour markets & wider stakeholder circles.
