KCC & CDS secure Packages 1-3 of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway

KCC Buildcon and CDS Infra Projects have emerged as the lowest bidders for the construction of first 3 packages of the 600 km Delhi – Amritsar – Katra (DAK) Expressway. The expressway starts at KMP Expressway north-west Delhi and will be expandable to 8 lanes with a provision of service roads in future. It is a 4-lane greenfield project with a proposed RoW. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) and alignment studies were prepared by Feedback Infrastructure. Within Punjab, a 99 km spur will be constructed from km 306 to form half a ring around Amritsar and connect with its airport.

The scope of work in Package 1 includes the construction of the Delh-Amritsar-Katra Expressway from Jussur Kheri on KMP Expressway to Junction with Rohtak Panipat road (NH 709) near Rukhi Paani village (Km 0.000 to Km 34.000) on HAM under the Bharatmala Pariyojna in Haryana. The length of the first package will be 34.00 km and is expected to cost around ₹1048.75 crore.

The second Package includes the construction from Junction with Rohtak Panipat road (NH709) near Rukhi Paani village to Junction with Jind Panipat road (NH352A) near Gangana (Km 34.000 to Km 60.800) on HAM under BP. The length of this part will be 26.80 km and is expected to cost around ₹854.03 crore.

Package 3 involves the construction from Junction with Jind-Panipat road NH352A near Gangana village to Junction with Jind Karnal road NH709A near Alewa village (Km 60.800 to Km 91.400) on HAM under BP. The length of Package 3 will be 30.6 km and the estimated cost is ₹911.20 crore.
