Karnataka speeds up highway construction
The construction work on the much delayed Bengaluru-Mysuru 10 lanes road entailing an investment of ₹7,000 crore is all set to start very shortly, claimed PWD minister H D Revanna, elaborating that the road stretch will be widened ensuring that all the requisite infrastructure facilities are put in place as quickly as possible. Among others, the scope of work in the project will also have a tunnel in Shiradi Ghat stretch on NH 75 as the tunnel would help avoid repeated incidents of landslips, which is a routine matter in the area.
