Karnataka cracks ₹657-cr Chikkamagaluru-Hassan rail line
The Karnataka state Cabinet has approved a new railway line covering the Chikkamagaluru-Beluru- Sakaleshapur-Hassan route entailing an investment of ₹657 crore, stated minister, Bandeppa Kashempur. There existing rail line passing through Chikkamgaluru, Beluru and Hassan will be diverted by building another new line from Sakaleshpura to Beluru for facilitating the rail users on this route. Both the State and Centre governments would bear 50 percent each of the total investment
