Karnataka Approves ₹17,780 Cr North-South Tunnel Road in Bengaluru

The Karnataka State Cabinet has approved the construction of a 16.7-km underground tunnel road in Bengaluru, known as the North-South Corridor. With an estimated cost of ₹17,780 crore, the project will be executed in two packages and completed within three years.
Connecting Esteem Mall at Hebbal Junction to Central Silk Board Junction in HSR Layout, the high-capacity urban tunnel aims to decongest Bengaluru’s traffic. It will include multiple two to three-lane entry and exit points to enhance north-south connectivity across the city.
