JSW Steel bets big on metro rail projects

JSW Steel, during October and November supplied more than 30,000 metric tons of high quality JSW Neosteel TMT Rebars for construction of Metro projects in Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Indore, Bhopal, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. This takes the company’s overall supply of JSW Neosteel TMT Rebars for metro construction projects to more than 85,000 metric tons during this fiscal, whihc will boost the supply to over Rs 600 crore following successful completion of the deliveries. The company expects the supply to incraese to about 150,000 metric tons as compared to its average of 100,000 metric tons per year. Director, Commercial, Marketing & Corporate Strategy, Jayant Acharya, said that JSW Steel’s manufacturing technology and equipment ensure quality products with more strength and ductility. Its manufacturing facilities are located across South and West India for better servicing of key infrastructure projects. A combination of superior product quality, better customer service, flexible rolling schedules and strict adherence to specifications ensures that the company remains a preferred supplier of steel products to India’s growing Metro rail network.
