JSW Infrastructure has secured a ₹740 crore port development project from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority to boost container handling capacity at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Dock. The Letter of Award (LoA) includes the reconstruction of Berth 8 and mechanisation of Berth 7.
Awarded on a build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) basis under the PPP model, the project comes with a 30-year concession period. This initiative aligns with JSW Infrastructure's strategy to expand its terminal portfolio under the central government’s port privatisation drive.
