JSW Cement, through its subsidiary Shiva Cement, has commissioned a new state-of-the-art cement grinding unit at Sambalpur, Odisha. The project aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in eastern India and meet the region’s rising demand.

Funded and supervised by Shiva Cement under a commercial arrangement with Bhushan Power and Steel Limited (BPSL), the new facility has a production capacity of 1.0 MTPA, dedicated exclusively for Shiva Cement’s use. With this addition, JSW Cement’s total installed capacity—including its subsidiaries—has now increased to 21.6 MTPA.

Nilesh Narwekar, Chief Executive Officer, JSW Cement, said, “The eastern region of the country is poised for exponential growth in the coming years. With rapid expansion in the manufacturing and infrastructure sector in the state, Odisha is playing a key role in the industrial and economic growth in the region. This new state-of-the-art facility in Sambalpur, therefore, is a strategic initiative by JSW Cement and marks a significant milestone in our journey to expand and consolidate our position in this market. The world class unit will further consolidate and expand the eco-friendly footprint of JSW Cement.
