Aspect Realty has successfully completed the long-stalled Shivam housing project in Worli under the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), bringing relief to residents after a 17-year delay. The project, which had been halted for nearly two decades, was revived last year when Aspect Realty took over, cleared the previous builder’s dues, and settled outstanding rent payments to displaced residents in a single payout.

Each 300 sq. ft. flat has been handed over fully furnished with a sofa, bed, wardrobe, refrigerator, smart TV, water purifier, and gas stove, marking the first time SRA flats in Mumbai are being delivered with complete furniture and home appliances.

The project’s completion restores hope for hundreds of families who had been waiting for years, some losing original beneficiaries before the redevelopment was realized.

Kedar Chapekar, CEO - Aspect Realty, said, "Taking over a 17-year-old stalled project presented enormous challenges, but our team's dedication allowed us to fast-track construction without compromising on quality. We are immensely proud to be near completion of over 600 SRA flats, providing the next generation of these families with ownership and security. This project is a clear demonstration that ethical real estate development and impactful social rehabilitation can and must go hand-in-hand."
