JK Tyre Becomes India’s First Tyre Company to Join RE100

India’s leading tyre manufacturer, JK Tyre & Industries, has joined the global RE100 initiative, committing to use 100% renewable electricity by 2050. JK Tyre is the first Indian tyre maker and 16th Indian business to join this global coalition. To reach its goals, the company has set an ambitious midterm target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY 2030, using FY 2019 as the baseline.

Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & MD of JK Tyre, emphasized their commitment, stating, "Under the motto 'today for tomorrow,' we believe in taking decisive actions today for a sustainable future." Dr. Divya Sharma, India Executive Director of the Climate Group, praised JK Tyre's pledge, calling it a milestone for renewable energy adoption in intensive manufacturing sectors.
