Jharkhand secures Rs. 5,000-cr road project

Adding to the state's road network, the Centre has approved funds to the tune of Rs. 5000-cr for the construction of 847 kilometre long road in Jharkhand, which would be executed by National Highway Authority of India, Secretary to the government of India in the department of Road Transport and Highway, Sanjay Mitra, said after meeting the Chief Minister, Raghubar Das, in Delhi recently. An official communiqué released by the CMO, said that NHAI would work on the four-laning of National Highway 23 and 75 besides the four-lane project of connecting Deoghar with Basukinath, two famous pilgrim sites in Santhal Pargana division. Consent has been taken for NHAI, executing yet another four-laning project on NH-33 between Mahulia and Bahragora in Kolhan division, he added.
