Jharkhand plans 1,008 units under Central Light House Scheme
The Jharkhand Government has planned to build 1,008 housing units under the Centre's Light House Projects catering to the housing requirements of poor and middle-class population across the state. Soren, State CM, informed that the houses will be constructed with the help of the Central and States government and the initiative will go a long way to minimize the financial burden of these categories. The Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of Light House Projects (LHPs) under Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC)-India at six sites across six states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, and Andhra Pradesh. The LHPs are being constructed at Indore, Rajkot, Chennai, Ranchi, Agartala and Lucknow, comprising about 1,000 houses at each location together with the allied infrastructure facilities.
