Jawaharlal Nehru Port Achieves Record Container Throughput in FY24

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, a leading container port in India, set a new record with its highest-ever throughput of 6.43 million TEUs in fiscal year 2023-24. This surpasses the previous mark of 6.05 million TEUs in 2022-23, demonstrating continued growth. Compared to the previous year, there was a notable 6.27% increase in total throughput. The total traffic handled during the period was 85.82 million tonnes, a 2.33% rise from the previous financial year. This included 78.13 million tonnes of container traffic and 7.70 million tonnes of bulk cargo.
