J&K unveils Rs. 270-cr road projects

In a recent development the state government of Jammu and Kashmir has prepared a roadmap for the construction of road network worth Rs. 270cr, minister for R&B and parliamentary affairs in J&K, Abdul Rehman Veeri said elaborating that the execution of improvement and upgradation of Bhaderwah-Chamba road has been taken up at a cost of Rs 73.33-cr under Inter-State Connectivity project. The minister further informed that Road Transport and Highways ministry has approved in principal declaration of Lakhanpur-Mahanpur-Basholi-Dunear as new National Highway in the state and DPR for upgrading, construction of road from KM-82 of Basholi-Bani-Bhaderwah to Bajootra in Himachal Pradesh via Fatehpur Bhander at an estimated cost of Rs 197.59-cr is currently in full swing. This project has been recommended to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for approval of funds under Inter-State Connectivity programs.
