J&K launches multiple projects in Valley
The state government in Jammu and Kashmir has recently launched multiple road infra projects across the Valley including laying the foundation stones roads including Zehenpora-Shahdara stretch at Chahal in Baramulla district at an investment of Rs.20 crore. In addition, she also laid the foundation of Gingel-Bijihama-Lachipora road which would come up at a cost of Rs.21 crore, thereby, providing an alternative national highway link from Baramulla and on completion, these road stretches would provide seamless connectivity between Baramulla and Uri. She also revealed that Centre has approved widening of National Highway from Narbal to Baramulla up to Uri and the DPRs for the same would be readied shortly. These apart, the CM also laid the foundation for upgrading of Watlab-Chetkak road which would be completed within two years and 14 km road would be constructed at a cost of Rs.14 crore and it would be taken up under CRF, said an official spokesperson of state government.
