ITA Tunnelling Awards 2025: 53 Entries Shortlisted, Finalists to be Revealed in Belgrade

Out of 100 global submissions, 53 entries from 25 countries have been shortlisted for the ITA Tunnelling Awards 2025, celebrating excellence in tunnelling and underground space development. The entries span diverse sectors including road, rail, metro, hydro, water infrastructure, and underground urban spaces, along with breakthroughs in technical innovation and engineering, and contributions by young professionals.
A distinguished international jury will evaluate the submissions to select three finalists per category, who will compete for gold, silver, and bronze awards. These finalists will present their projects at a day-long symposium to be held during the Southeastern European Tunnelling Conference in Belgrade, hosted in collaboration with the Serbian Association for Tunnels and Underground Structures. The winners will be revealed at a gala ceremony on the same evening.
Early bird registration is now open.
Attendees can also participate as sponsors and exhibitors to engage with key stakeholders and explore opportunities in the Balkan region, which is witnessing significant EU-supported infrastructure growth in metros, roads, railways, and water services. The event promises direct insights from project owners and decision-makers, highlighting design innovations and key milestones of regional underground developments.
