IRB Infra wins Rs.3,400 cr Hapur bypass road contract

Adding to its project portfolio in the road sector, IRB Infrastructure Developers has received a LoA for the six laning of Hapur bypass to Moradabad section including Hapur bypass road project entailing an investment of Rs.3,400 crore. The project in question is a part of the NH 24 (New NH-9) in Uttar Pradesh, which the road builder won on the Design Build Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) model under National Highway Development Program (NHDP) Phase V. The length of the project is 99.867 km and commands a concession period of 22 years, said official sources that IRB Infrastructure will be getting tolling rights on the project right from the appointed date and will pay premium of Rs.31.5 crore to the NHAI from 4th year from the appointed date, as per the provisions of Concession Agreement, claimed NHAI sources.
