Infra Elevators doubling manufacturing capacity

Infra Elevators
Infra Elevators, a Kerala-based elevator manufacturer, will be opening its new manufacturing facility at the Industrial Growth Centre in Pallippuram on the outskirts of Thuravur. Managing Director, V.A. Manoj Kumar revealed that the current production capacity is 180 units per annum from the existing two facilities, and with the commissioning of the ₹5 crore new facility, the company will increase its production to 365 units per year, and thereby increase its turnover to ₹40 crore during fiscal year 2019-20, from the current ₹30 crore. The new unit will develop customized products, including passenger lifts, capsule lifts, home lifts, car lifts, among others. While sales of commercial lifts are seeing a downward trend in recent times due to business slowdown, demand for home lifts are on the rise due to the growth in construction of independent houses across the state. As of now, the company has a market share of around 50 percent of home elevators in Kerala. The company imports some raw materials and components, while the rest are domestically sourced with a value addition of 40-50 percent, informed director A.S. Govindan, and added that the company is also exporting to Oman and Nepal.
