The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has planned to build an Aerotropolis City on an area of 6,554 hectares around Jewar International Airport in Noida, along Yamuna Expressway. The authority will build an aviation hub spanning 4,480 hectares along Yamuna Expressway and the Aerotropolis will be developed following the model of Delhi’s Aerocity which is located next to the IGI airport in the national capital. The Noida Aerotropolis city will be much larger and is poised to become the hub for various business activities. The Uttar Pradesh government is keen on creating a self-contained, world-class hub within the Aerotropolis encompassing business zones, logistics activities, commercial districts, hospitality facilities, recreation areas and various other supporting amenities.
