Varanasi & Kashi cities await world-class infra upgrades
The state government in UP has committed to build a top-class urban infrastructure to turn Varanasi and Kashi cities as the world class cities. "Kashi is very significant as it is the spiritual and cultural centre of India and draws Sanatanis from across the world. By designating Kashi as a place of worship, the PM has given Kashi a new identity on the international stage over the past nine years and recently, the G-20 conference of twenty big countries of the world was organized in the city," stated the CM. Kashi is currently developing much more rapidly as roads are being widened, four-lane connectivity is being given to the city from all sides and from Cantt to Godaulia, a ropeway is being constructed that will allow for a daily flow of 1 lakh people. In totality, wider roads, cleanliness, the TFC, the Convention Center, and the Cancer Institute are all clear signs of Kashi’s development. Considering the PM’s mission as a vision, the state government has prioritized empowerment rather than appeasement.
