UP approves 750-acre township near Delhi-Meerut RRTS
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved Meerut Development Authority's plan to establish a first-of-its-kind 750-acre state-of-the-art township at Partapur. This township will serve as the entry point for the Delhi-Meerut rapid rail transit system into Meerut city. The proposed township aims to enhance the infrastructure along the rail corridor, facilitating transit-oriented development (TOD) which is now a global standard in several developing and developed countries around the world. The estimated cost of land acquisition for this project will be around Rs 2,000 crore.
