PM launches ₹5, 570-cr multiple projects in Karnataka

The Prime Minister of India has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various infrastructure and construction projects in Karnataka, amounting to a total investment of ₹5,570 crore. The projects include the development of a 92-km-long, four-lane highway connecting Mysuru to Khushalnagar, which will cost ₹4,130 crore and significantly improve connectivity between the two cities, reducing travel time from five hours to 2.5 hours. Additionally, the Prime Minister has launched various projects for the Hubballi-Dharwad smart city, costing ₹520 crore, and the construction of the Jayadeva Hospital and Research Centre, which will provide cardiac care at a cost of ₹250 crore.

To address the water supply issues in the region, the PM has laid the foundation stone for the Dharwad Multi Village Water Supply Scheme, a project worth over ₹1,040 crore. The Tupparihalla Flood Damage Control Project, aimed at mitigating flood damage by constructing retaining walls and embankments, was also inaugurated at a cost of approximately ₹150 crore.

Moreover, the Prime Minister has also inaugurated the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway project, which was built at an investment of ₹8,480 crore, as per an official statement from the PMO. These projects are expected to significantly improve the infrastructure and connectivity in the state of Karnataka.
