Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Approves Rs 21,608 Crore Infrastructure & Industrial Projects

The Cabinet also approved Rs 272.25 crore for an Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (IMLC) in Sultanpur and cleared three private industrial projects involving proposed investments of Rs 2,606.04 crore.
The Ganga Expressway will be extended to Haridwar as a six-lane greenfield corridor, with provision for future expansion to eight lanes. The state government will bear the entire project cost. The extension is expected to improve connectivity between Bijnor and Haridwar and strengthen the link between the Ganga Expressway and Lucknow. It will also improve connectivity between Prayagraj and Haridwar, supporting religious tourism and economic activity along the corridor.
The Cabinet also approved the Rs 7,968.30-crore Jhansi Link Expressway to improve connectivity to the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) area, the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor and other key locations around Jhansi. The state government will fund the project, which is expected to support industrial investment, manufacturing and commercial activity in the Bundelkhand region.
To strengthen industrial infrastructure in eastern Uttar Pradesh, the Cabinet approved Rs 272.25 crore for an Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster in Sultanpur. The cluster will be developed near the Purvanchal Expressway under the industrial corridor programme. The government expects the project to improve logistics connectivity and attract manufacturing investment and employment to Sultanpur and the wider Purvanchal region.
The Cabinet also approved Letters of Comfort for three industrial projects with a proposed investment of Rs 2,606.04 crore. Canpack India Private Limited will invest Rs 1,573.62 crore in an aluminium beverage-can manufacturing facility in Unnao, with an annual production capacity of around 130 crore cans.
Agristo Masa Private Limited will invest Rs 794.27 crore to expand its food-processing operations in Bijnor and establish a French fries manufacturing facility with a maximum installed capacity of 75,000 metric tonnes per year.
Supreme Industries Limited will invest Rs 238.15 crore in Kanpur Dehat to manufacture value-added plastic building-solution products. The three projects are expected to strengthen Uttar Pradesh's manufacturing base and generate employment and ancillary economic activity.
