Odisha CM inaugurates ₹1,600-cr development projects in Koraput

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the 75th anniversary of Vikram Deb Autonomous College in Jeypore and announced development projects worth ₹1,600 crore for the district. The CM declared the construction of a modern auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,000 at a cost of ₹8 crore for the institution. He emphasized the importance of education and expressed his faith in the state's youth.

Naveen also laid the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, drinking water and electrification, and inaugurated projects worth ₹210 crore. He stated that development in Koraput can only be achieved by strengthening its infrastructure.

The chief minister also spoke about the government's mission to support self-help groups (SHGs) by giving each group an interest-free loan of ₹5 lakh. Over the next five years, the government plans to disburse ₹50,000 crore among the SHGs in the state.
