PM Gati Shakti's Network Planning Group (NPG)
PM Gati Shakti's Network Planning Group (NPG) has recommended six infrastructure projects for seamless movement of goods and passengers and increasing logistics efficiency across the country. Three projects from the Ministry of Railways, two from Roads Transport, and one from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy were examined by the NPG in line with PM Gati Shakti's principles of integrated and holistic approach to multimodal connectivity. The Ministry of Railways proposed a city logistics project for the Kanpur Anwarganj Mandhana elevated railway track, while another project was for construction of a rail-bridge across river Ganga in Bihar. Additionally, a project proposal was examined for doubling the Ajmer-Chittorgarh railway line. A unique project for inter-state transmission of renewable energy in Ladakh by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy was also examined. The project aligns with the government's goal of achieving 500 GW capacity from non-fossil fuels by 2030. The 45th session meeting of the NPG saw active participation from senior officials of key ministries and departments.
