L&T secures large water treatment orders in Uttar Pradesh

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has secured significant orders in the water and effluent treatment segment within the domestic market. The company's construction arm, L&T Construction, has been awarded a major contract to construct a water supply scheme for the Hanumanganj multi-group of villages in the Ballia and Firozabad districts of Uttar Pradesh.

While the exact order value has not been disclosed, L&T has classified these contracts as "large orders," which typically range between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore according to the company's project classification. The State Water & Sanitation Mission of Uttar Pradesh has entrusted L&T with this significant project, aimed at enhancing water supply infrastructure in the designated areas.
