L&T Construction bags irrigation projects in Odisha & Madhya Pradesh

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) announced that its subsidiary, L&T Construction, has secured significant work orders from the governments of Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. While the order value remains undisclosed, it falls within the classification of orders ranging from Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore.

L&T revealed that the Water & Effluent Treatment business of L&T Construction has received repeat orders from the Water Resources Department of the Government of Odisha. The projects, known as cluster XXII & cluster XXV mega lift irrigation projects, involve the execution of 19 lift irrigation schemes across various locations, including the Manjore reservoir, Brahmani river, Rengali left main canal, Rengali right main canal, and Indravati reservoir. These schemes aim to irrigate a culturable command area of 28,944 hectares in the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, and Nabarangpur on a turnkey basis.
