ADB approves $100-mn for urban infra & tourism boost in Tripura
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has granted a $100 million loan to enhance urban infrastructure and tourism facilities in Tripura. ADB's commitment aims to support Tripura's goals of advancing urban services and fortifying tourism infrastructure for economic development. The project plans to position Tripura as a key gateway to the northeastern region by strategically developing tourist destinations along national highways, improving urban governance, and ensuring financial sustainability.

Key components include upgrading the water supply system, establishing new water treatment plants, improving stormwater drains, and enhancing urban roads with features catering to the needs of diverse populations. The initiative targets elevating tourist destinations, such as the Chaturdash Devata Temple, Kasaba Kalibari, and Neermahal Palace.
