Indian Railways Cancels ₹30,000 Cr Tender for Vande Bharat Trains

Indian Railways has reportedly cancelled its ₹30,000-crore tender for the manufacturing and maintenance of 100 aluminium-body Vande Bharat trains. The tender was awarded to Alstom India, but it was cancelled after the railways deemed the price quoted by the company as ‘too high’.
