Indian Railways Approves ₹509 Cr for Flyovers in Odisha
Indian Railways has sanctioned ₹509 crore for two major rail flyovers in Cuttack and Rayagada districts to improve operational efficiency and ease traffic congestion on key routes.
A 10.89-km rail flyover in Cuttack district, costing ₹268.92 crore, will connect Rajathgarh, Radhakishorepur, and Machhapur stations. The project aims to facilitate simultaneous train movements, minimizing delays caused by cross-traffic.
Additionally, a ₹240 crore project has been approved for the Raipur-Vizianagaram line under the Waltair division of East Coast Railway (ECoR). These developments are set to bolster railway infrastructure in the region.
