India to Add 50 New Airports in Next 5 Years: Civil Aviation Minister

Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu announced the government's plan to establish 50 new airports in the next five years, aiming to further develop the country's airport ecosystem. This expansion is expected to boost job creation and strengthen regional connectivity.
In the last decade, the number of airports in India has doubled to 157. Naidu also shared a long-term vision, with plans to develop 200 additional airports over the next 20 years.
