India Identifies 10 Highway Corridors for Zero-Emission Freight Movement

Highway Corridors

India has selected 10 high-impact highway corridors for exclusive use by zero-emission trucks (ZETs) to drive early adoption of clean freight transport.

Announced by the office of the Principal Scientific Adviser earlier this month, these priority corridors will serve as pilot projects to decarbonise the logistics sector, cut air pollution, and support the country's net-zero goal by 2070.

The initiative will help establish a dedicated national infrastructure for electric and hydrogen-fuel-based trucking across all highways in the future.
