India & Australia Hold 5th Energy Dialogue to Strengthen Cooperation on Clean Energy & Net Zero Transition

India and Australia held the 5th Meeting of the India–Australia Energy Dialogue, co-chaired by Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Chris Bowen MP, Hon’ble Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Commonwealth Government of Australia.

The Indian delegation, comprising officials from the Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Mines, and Ministry of Coal, made detailed presentations on progress achieved and future cooperation under various Joint Working Groups formed ahead of the Dialogue.

Discussions focused on the global transition to net zero emissions, advancing energy efficiency, promoting green hydrogen technologies, and ensuring secure, diversified, and resilient energy supply chains. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to being trusted trading partners in energy resources and deepening collaboration across clean and renewable energy domains.

The Ministers emphasized that the India–Australia partnership continues to play a pivotal role in fostering secure, robust, and sustainable energy systems across the Indo-Pacific region, aligning with both nations’ shared vision for a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
