India-Afghanistan inks MoUs for infrastructure projects

India and Afghanistan recently inked 10 MoUs for the construction of roads, buildings, schools, administrative offices, laying of roads and water supply networks, and markets across 10 Afghan provinces, namely Daikundi, Panjshir, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Nangahar, Khost, Farah, Maidan Wardak, and Takhar. These projects are funded under the High Impact Community Development (HICDP) scheme implemented by India in Afghanistan, and for which India has committed over USD 200 million to support over 550 projects throughout Afghanistan.
