Adding another infra project to its project portfolio in the rail sector, IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company of global repute, has recently secured Rs. 532.67-cr contract from Nagpur Rail Corporation. On this score, IL&FS Engineering Services has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited, which is a joint venture between Government of India and state government of Maharashtra, said official sources, elaborating that the work in the project involves construction of seven elevated metro stations, and three at-grade stations (North-South Corridor) viz Congress Nagar to Khapri and the project slated to be commissioned in 110 weeks from the date of issue of LoA. IL&FS Engineering Services is currently executing four Metro Rail Projects worth around Rs. 1,100-cr and they included Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, Rapid Metro Rail Project Phase-II in Gurgaon, a project for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited in Kolkata, and Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar & Ahmedabad Company Limited, in Ahmedabad.
