IL&FS secures Rs. 242.56-cr contract

Adding to its project portfolio in the country's road sector, IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has recently secured Rs 242.56-cr road project in Karnataka and has also received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in this connection. The scope of work in the project involves widening of two or four lanes with paved shoulders on Bidar to Humnabad section of NH-50 on EPC model and it commands completion period of 24 months, said the company in a media statement. Apart from the project in question, the company, which is one of the leading multi-national infrastructure development, construction and project management companies with nearly three decades of experience in executing landmark projects, is also executing a metro rail contract in Karnataka for Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation entailing an investment worth Rs 326.99cr.
