IL&FS bags Rs. 532-cr Nagpur metro project

Adding to its project portfolio in the rail and metro sector, IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited, which is a joint venture between central government and state government of Maharashtra at an investment of Rs. 532.67cr. The scope of work in the project involves construction of seven elevated metro stations, and three at-grade stations stretching across from Congress Nagar to Khapri. The Project is to be completed in 110 weeks from the date of issue of Letter of Acceptance (LOA). IL&FS Engineering Services said official sources, adding that the company is currently executing four Metro Rail Projects worth around Rs. 1100-cr in Bangalore for Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, in Gurgaon for Rapid Metro Rail Project, Phase-II (RMRG), in Kolkata for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and in Ahmedabad for Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar & Ahmedabad. The company has also successfully executed RMRG (Phase I) that involved construction of Elevated Viaduct including Six Elevated Station buildings.
