In an attempt to provide housing units to homeless across the city, the state government in Telangana has decided to build one lakh double bedroom houses in the city this year, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said, elaborating that in addition to this, 300 double-bedroom houses will be constructed for the poor in Mahbubabad district and their construction will be completed in the next six months. The collector would have to identify the beneficiaries after conducting a survey. The local residents had made a representation to the councilor for a road to be laid at the place where the double-bedroom houses will be constructed for which the district administration will identity 10 acres of government land in the district where construction of more G+1 flats would be taken up shortly.
