Haryana hastens Rs. 400-cr ring road project

Haryana Ring Road Project
Work on the Rs. 400-cr project involving construction of about 34-kilometre ring road connecting five national highways in Ambala district, is all set to start shortly, the concerned minister said in a media statement, detailing that the project, which has been given final shape, would connect Ambala to Jagadhari, Delhi, Chandigarh, Naraingarh, and Hisar roads outside the city limits. A revised map has been prepared with the provision of a road from Shahpur Manchhoda via Brahman Majra instead of via Khuda Kalan. The construction work on the 15-km stretch of the ring road from village Saddopur on Chandigarh road to Hisar road would be carried out by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Similarly, the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department would carry out construction of the remaining 19-km stretch. After the commissioning of the project, heavy transport vehicles would not require to enter Ambala Sadar and Ambala City areas and the move in turn would provide a trouble-free entry to vehicles entering into the city, he stressed.
