The Haryana government has reviewed the status of new metro projects connecting the NCR region including the 4.86-km metro corridor from Narela to Kundli, which would be extended till Rajiv Gandhi Education City. Other projects include the 30.38-km metro corridor between Gurugram and Faridabad, the 17.10-km metro corridor from City Park (Bahadurgarh) to Sampla, the 23.10-km metro corridor between Badsa (AIIMS and National Cancer Institute) and Dwarka. The biggest metro rail network in the country of 40 km in Haryana has been proposed to be extended by 75 to 80 km in the fourth phase of DMRC's project. The chief minister has directed officers to explore possibilities to work on a metro rail project in tri-city Chandigarh (Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali). Prior to this, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) presented the DPR for metro connectivity from HUDA City Centre to Cyber City/Rapid Metro, Gurugram, which was approved by the authorities.
