Haryana kick-start ₹452-cr development projects

The state's CM recently laid the foundation stones of 12 projects worth ₹452.45 crore in the Mahendragarh district on the southern fringes of the state. These include development of Industrial Model Township (IMT) over an area of 960 acres in village Khudana costing ₹200 crore; a canal-based water distribution scheme to 25 villages costing ₹124.43 crore; and underground pipes irrigation water supply scheme costing ₹23.83 crore for the rural areas in the region. The work of lift irrigation system in the area is in full swing progress at a cost of ₹143 crore; as is the construction work of college buildings at villages Unhani and Chilro in Kanina and Nizampur blocks, respectively, at a cost of ₹12.12 crore. Work on building four-lane two national highways passing through Mahendragarh district has been entrusted to the Central Government.
